The Turkish Atomic Energy Agency (TAEK) completed an audit of the quality management system of the PJSC "KCDBV" within the framework of the accreditation procedure for obtaining the right to supply equipment for nuclear power plants in Turkey. This will allow KCDBV to participate in the project of four VVER-1200 type reactors "AKKUJU" and in the future the "SINOP" station - the joint project of the French Areva and Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
For the third consecutive year PJSC "KCDBV" was nominated for the "Best exporter of the year" award based on the financial statements of 2017. The Kiev Chamber of Commerce acknowledged the Company's achievements in increasing competitiveness of its products at the global markets and foreign currency inflows to the country.
Representatives of the Chinese company Beijing Tonghui Jiaye Technology Development Co., Ltd. and long-standing partners in Tianwan NPP project visited PJSC "KCDBV" in order to further develop relations and discuss ongoing projects.
PJSC "KCDBV" conducts an advertising campaign in polytechnic universities of Ukraine in order to attract the best students for the internship and further work at the enterprise. Within the framework of such a campaign, meetings were already held with graduates of the National Aviation University in Kiev and Vinnitsa National Technical University.
Kiev Central Design Bureau demonstrated the latest developments and achievements in the nuclear industry at the XV International specialized exhibition "Energy in Industry - 2017" in Kiev. Newly developed products such as gate valve DN 300 with the overpressure device, the new version of pressurizer safety device, shut-off control valve, the disconnecting device, and traditional nomenclature were presented at the booth. Within the panel discussion "Nuclear Power: Investing in the Future of Ukraine", the head of the Supervisory Board Rykunich Iu.N. presented the capabilities of the KCDBV in the modernization and replacement of equipment at existing NPPs in Ukraine, as well as in the construction of 3&4 units of Khmelnitsky NPP.
Representatives of KCDBV visited the International Expo of Industrial equipment - Hannover Messe 2017. Today it is not just an exposition of the leading industrial equipment brands, but also a demonstration of the achievements of the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0.) - mass introduction of cyberphysical systems into production process. Hannover Messe is a platform for the search for new approaches in mechanical engineering, the opportunity to communicate with experts and leaders in the development of technological novelties.
In early June our experts held talks on a number of issues with the China Nuclear Energy Institute (NPIC) in Chengdu and the Harbin Research Institute of Ship Boilers and Turbines. Negotiations covered participation of KCDBV in the development and manufacturing of the valves for the institutes' projects.
Third year in a raw Kyiv Central Design Bureau of Valves wins in the nomination The Best Exporter of the Year among the middle enterprises of Kyiv. The diploma and sign of the "Best Exporter of The Year" was handed by the First vice-chairman of Kyiv municipal state administration - Plis G.V. It was indicated how important it is to remain the leadership in a highly technological production field and to be in demand of foreign customers.
April 10 - 15 Quality director M.V. Ananiev of PrJSC "KCDBV" took part in a business trip to the manufacturing enterprises of the valve industry in Northern Italy organized by the Scientific and Industrial Association of Valve Manufacturers. As part of the program, a group of delegates visited such enterprises as LLC TREVISAN, enterprises of the industrial group SEALCORE (Duci, OringOne, Fluorten, SLIB Italy) and PRO CONTROL, valve manufacturing companies RIGANTI, ITALCONTROL and LVF Valve Solutions. The key focus of the meetings was set on sharing experience and expanding business contacts with Italian producers.
International Nuclear Power Plants Summit took place in Istanbul from the 8th to 9th of March. Plans for the nuclear energy development in Turkey were presented and the upcoming NPP projects Akkuyu and Sinop were discussed. Specialists of PJSC "KCDBV" shared their experience in the nuclear power valves engineering and discussed potential partnership in the nuclear field with turkish and international companies.
PJSC "KCDBV" has visited the jubilee international exhibition "Valve World Expo 2016" in Düsseldorf. The exhibition showcased the world's leading brands in the field of valve production for different economic sectors. Meetings and discussions on possible cooperation were held with such companies as Pentair, Leser, Goetze KG, Samson, Velan, Jiangsu Cowin Valve Co. and others.
XIV international exhibition "POWER ENGINEERING INDUSTRY - 2016 " was held in Kiev on the 8-10th of November. PJSC "KCDBV" exhibited its soltuions in the field of nuclear and thermal power energy, oil and gas industry and valves for refrigeration plants. Visitors of the exhibition booth were paying particular attention to the products for thermal power stations and valves for low temperatures of -40°C and lower.
PJSC "KCDBV" showcased its reputed aerospace products as well as new developments for AN- series aircrafts designed as a part of import substitution program. Company management had an opportunity to find new business partners and to establish contacts for the further development of industrial cooperation.
PJSC "KCDBV" has recently designed and manufactured gate valve DN300 with operating parameters P = 18 MPa, t = 350 ° C, Class of Protection "A" for the needs of Belarussian NPP. One of the basic gate valve requirements addressed by the Design institutes (JSC "ATOMPROEKT", JSC "NIAEP") was the availability of protective device against excess pressure in the middle cavity of the valve in the process of warming up. This protective device has unique design, does not require a power supply, additional piping system for hydraulic and pneumatic control, supplementary service, and provides the sealing performance of the disc according to the class "A" in the range from 0.1 MPa to 35 MPa at a minimum weight and size characteristics.
In July 2016 there was a delegation from Harbin Marine Boiler & Turbine Research Institute visiting PJSC "KCDBV". Special interest was heightened to solenoid valves for gas-turbine-engined submarines. Look forward to set up a productive cooperation following the first meeting.
On the 8-9 March 2016, delegates from PJSC "KCDBV" visited International Nuclear Power Summit in Istanbul. Series of talks on the possible participation in the construction of nuclear power plants on the territory of Turkey were held during the B2B matching session, as well as possibility of starting a joint venture with Turkish valve manufacturers were discussed.
Delegation from China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and Nuclear Power Institute of China has visited KCDBV in March. High level of engineering developments in space and nuclear energy field were noted. Particular attention was paid to the bellows and the electromagnetic valves.
